Les Explorateurs – 1 Michelin star

There will always be a pleasure to know that even on the far away mountains you can find a place to eat well. Specially during winter when the season is open and skiing is an every-day matter. The sumptuous hotel Pashmina – Le Refuge (5*) in the Val Thorens ski resort is one of these destinations that can offer a great service, either in lodging or in cooking: its restaurant Les Explorateurs by chef Josselin JeanBlanc has one Michelin star to share.

 

 

According to the Guide Michelin inspector, this Savoyard venue proposes “simple and inspired creations showing a technical expertise and the strong will to not just be another luxury hotel restaurant…” Josselin Jeanblanc is a discreet Chef who expresses himself through his culinary creations, he impregnates his travels and the station of Val Thorens to propose a cosmopolitan menu.

Chef Jeanblanc proposes his dishes in a cozy atmosphere, inspired by the great expeditions to the high mountain. Each table has a different ambiance for a new culinary trip every time you visit. Although specialties are langoustine carpaccio marinated with citric juice, ginger and Pétrossian Caviar; or poultry supreme d’Alice with truffles under the skin, Albufera sauce, celery puree and salsifies with truffles.

Les Explorateurs is open every day except Mondays, from 19:30-21:00.
