Crazy Horse – Reopening
by Abdon FLORES
After being closed during 18 months, the Crazy Horse is back on its mythical spot at avenue George V. October 21st will be the D-day for the reopening. Moreover, on this year the most famous cabaret in the world celebrates its 70th anniversary, another reason to render the place more attiring. In fact, this has been the major renovation in 26 years, a project conducted by French architect Benoît Dupuis who worked along the artistic direction of the cabaret.

New façade, new hall, new theatre and new bar… The show area has been reconditioned in order to comfortably accommodate 220 people in an intimate way. Also, two private alcoves are now available as well as many insolite armchairs to enchant the clients. Concerning the technical aspects, the new sound and lighting systems will assure a better output for the performers. Designer Laurent Mercier has been in charge of the garments for the staff, always faithful to the Crazy Horse spirit.
“Totally Crazy” is the name of the spectacle for the opening night. It gathers the best of the cabaret art with a clin d’oeil to the contemporary character of Miss Astra. After weeks of planning and rehearsals, the Crazy Girls and guest artists, George Bangable and James Fenwick, are ready to please and seduce the audience.
