Veja x Dover Street Market
VEJA asked one of its cobblers, Walter, to create a style using VEJA’s leather waste for Dover Street Market Ginza in Japan. With the VEJA design team, he crafted 20 pairs, which will exclusively be sold at Dover Street Market Ginza on Saturday 28th October.
Over the past three years, VEJA has opened 4 places around the world, each with its own cobbler, and one operating as a mobile cobbler service at its warehouse, located in the outskirts of Paris. This project is a tribute to the craftsmanship of those who work in the shadows, performing a job that has been forgotten by our consumerism society.

In a world with limited resources, their craft becomes essential. The Dover Street Market Ginza exclusive sneaker is inspired by the art of quilting, combining V-90 style with VEJA’s leather waste to create exclusive designs.
VEJA reuses old and waste leather pieces by stitching them onto the back of the sneakers. The colors vary from one tile to another and from one pair to another, making each style a unique upcycled piece. The V-90, VEJA’s latest addition, is made of the softest leather yet sourced by VEJA – O.T. leather (Organic Traced leather) from farms in Uruguay, 100% organically certified.
This type of leather undergoes a mechanical beating process that makes it fine and bendable. Tanned in Brazil, it uses fewer dyes than conventional leather.
