Tempus Fugit x Palagano
Founded in 2015 by Lucio Palagano, Palagano manufactures exclusive leather objects combining style, extreme craftsmanship and technology. As a part of this 100% Made-in-Italy philosophy, the brand explores new technological avenues by entering the world of watchmaking with the innovative Tempus Fugit collection. The first series of this groundbreaking timepiece will be an extremely limited edition to mark the launch of Bolide 80, the world’s fastest superyacht, conceived, designed and built entirely in Italy by Victory Design.

Meaning shooting star in Italian, Bolide 80 is the first Hyper Muscle Yacht, a new class of vessels born from the vision of Brunello Acampora, founder and driving spirit behind Victory Design, who has conceived a design for a boat that is similar to a high-performance hypercar. With a heritage hailing from boat racing, the firm has designed and built a missile over 24 meters long, completely in carbon fiber and boasting six thousand horsepower, allowing it to reach the record breaking 75-knot barrier and cruise at over fifty. Eighty feet of sculptured beauty are an homage to the sporty shapes of Italy, to its great car designers and to that very Italian ability to blend art with science, technical skill with invention.
In line with the exteriors, the yacht interiors have been designed to bring out the best Italian craftsmanship, with exposed carbon fibre and expensive hand-stitched leather from the best artisan workshops. And indeed, the intimate link between Bolide 80 and Tempus Fugit goes even further: the watch is in fact penned by Stefano Faggioni, the yacht’s chief interior designer. The same skills that enabled him to blend tradition and future, to produce pieces of furniture which are unique and entirely tailor-made, are now found in this equally unique timepiece.

The case, manufactured by DueEmme Lab, is made of 5-grade titanium and finished with a combination of circular and straight graining. The movement boasts for the occasion an elegant skeleton pattern, an absolute novelty for the manufacturer Oisa 1937. The dial is another master stroke of distinction, with a hub-and-spoke pattern blending with the mechanism’s opening for a unique light effect showing also the balance-escapement group. Finally, the logo of Bolide 80 is wisely engraved on the case side and the crown. Replicating the same philosophy of the vessel Tempus Fugit Bolide 80 edition will be available in 9+1 units.
The movement is Oisa 1937’s signature calibre 2950 and boasts 19 rubies, 60 hours of power reserve, manual winding and hour-minute-second indications. Measuring 29.50mm in diameter and 3.5mm in height it stands for its unmistakable 5-bridges design, Oisa’s sign of distinction.
Following the dominant colors of the yacht interiors, the watch box comes in the same unusual cognac-colored leather of the sofa, dining table and the two side wings of the ceiling. Inside, it is covered in black leather, matching the matt-treated carbon fiber of the lower deck. The box is also the work of Marine Leather, the specialists responsible for upholstering Bolide 80.
