[Re]master01 – Audemars Piguet

Vintage wristwatch chronographs are very rare in such an important brand like Audemars Piguet. Only 307 pieces were produced between 1930 and 1950. Well, the Vallée de Joux brand has decided to exploit this lack and make a 500 pieces limited edition of the 1943 original Chronograph.

As Michael Friedman –the brand’s head of complications– states “It is not a historical re-edition but a contemporary reinterpretation of an ancient watch”. So, the [Re]master01 has a selfwinding Manufacture caliber 4409, a yellow gold-toned dial, blue tachymetric scale, pink gold hands and blue chrono seconds hand. Case and lugs are on stainless steel, it has an 18-carat pink gold bezel, crown and pushes.

 

 

Measures are the classical: case is 40 mm. The [Re]master01 has 40 jewels and a glareproofed sapphire crystal and caseback. Price: 53,900 €.
