Snow Star by Milus

The Swiss brand Milus was created a century ago by Paul William Junod in Bienne, the French Jura. Three successive generations of watchmakers have maintained the Milus codes within the heart of Swiss watchmaking history. For the 100th anniversary of the brand, the Legacy concept store of the Hotel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris served as showcase to present a brand new LAB collection and an ICONIC line, reinterpreting legendary Milus models.

Despite the performing chronographs and other timepieces, there is one watch that shines high in this revival of the brand: the Snow Star, a watch used by the US Navy pilots during World War II. In 1940, when the watch was created, it came with a box containing precious objects to help the pilots to survive if forced to land in unknown territory.

The actual version has a 904L stainless steel case, mirror polished finishing and silver or black sunray brushed dial with “Dauphine” hour hands over hand-laid indexes. The watch has a red date counter at 3 o’clock, an ETA 2892 movement and a power reserve of 42 hours.

The new Milus collections are available online and in selected concept stores, as well as at traditional watch points-of-sale.
