Café Pierre Hermé – Saint-Germain des Près

The second Café Pierre Hermé will open on June 15^th, in the Odeon neighborhood. Designed by Santillane de Chanaleilles, it will have 90 m² and it will be located near the historical Pierre Hermé main boutique. The warm interior can accommodate up to 50 seated people plus 12 in terrace. Now, it’s important to notice that a coffee chez Pierre Hermé is not that little cup of dark, bitter liquid people drink over a zinc bar, is much more than that.

With the help of Hippolyte Courty, founder of L’Arbre à Café, M. Hermé has chosen the best varieties of coffee. Like the Red Iapar from Brazil, strong and aromatic, with chocolate and cinnamon notes. Or the Signature Pierre Hermé, which is rich and smooth, spiced by the arabicas and softened by the robusta, releasing aromas from Honduras, Colombia or even Uganda. The Intense, emanating from different cultures such Peru, Africa and India, is lightly toasted and has a generous body.

 

 

No matter if they are served as Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato or even the Mocha Pierre Hermé, flavors and aromas will develop expansively. To achieve this, the Café Pierre Hermé is really well equipped: a Mahlkönig mill, the king of grinders; a Victoria Arduino Black Eagle pro expresso machine; and the invaluable knowledge of baristi, the experts concerning coffee grinding. Like pastry chefs, baristi possess the know-how of perfect granulometry, dosage and extraction.

The cherry in the cake would be M. Hermé specialty: desserts. Only emblematic pastries like Ispahan, 2000 Feuilles or Tarte Infiniment Vanille. Viennese pastries like Pain au Chocolat & Pistache, Kouign-Amann and Croissant Infiniment Citron. And of course, the famous macarons with addictive flavors: Mogador (Chocolat au Lait & Fruit de la Passion), Céleste (Fruit de la Passion, Rhubarbe & Fraise) and Infiniment Praliné Noisette… undoubtly, a tasty experience.
