Moonshadow – Cognac VSOP

In France, after wine and champagne, there comes cognac. This spirit is surrounded by an aura of fanciness -and probably a little bit of old fashion style. But the third alcoholic drink derived from grape is experiencing a renewal on this decade, mainly thanks to mixology. Nowadays, cocktail bars include cognac as one of their core elements to prepare drinks. And the output is rather outstanding.

The new VSOP cognac Moonshadow is surfing this new wave as a main ingredient for cocktails. Its VSOP nature (Very Superior Old Pale) purveys the aromatic softness and richness needed in mixology. The name was inspired by the moon rabbit legend and what it implies: the dark face of the moon. Fins Bois, Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne are the eaux-de-vie used to assemble this cognac. The youngest eaux-de-vie is four years old, and was aged in French oak barrels.

Delicate notes of lilac and linden combine with the freshness of orange and the swetness of vanilla; the palette of notes is completed with clove and gingerbread… But moonshadow also brings an idea of the dark, cold space and the notion of interstellar, where lonely and linnear light beams cruise the unfathomable, mind-blowing cosmos.
