Patrick Pham SS19 – Couture

The cypher 8 is a symbol of fortune in Asia; if you look well, it’s actually the symbol for infinite but aimed towards the sky. The collection that French-Vietnamese fashion designer Patrick Pham presented during the haute couture season in Paris, was inspired by this number. The looks evoke modernity, insolence, humor but yet they are also elegant and fancy. Patrick Pham borrowed from the universe of sports its fabrics and its streamlined silhouettes.

The neon tones of the now famous ‘gilets jaunes’ were present in many of the garments. Also, solid colors were chosen for many of the dresses, one of them reproduced the Vietnamese flag colors with a bold output. Snake patterns, kaleidoscopic patching, well fitted jackets, M. Pham collection merited a warm acceptance at the majestic ballroom of the Grand Hotel.
