Le Spa – Four Seasons Hotel George V

by Abdon FLORES

July 2018 will see the opening of a temple of beauty in Paris. The Four Seasons Hotel George V will reopen Le Spa, a 720 m² majestic precinct conceived by interior designer and architect Pierre-Yves Rochon. M. Rochon was inspired by Greek, Roman and Turkish ancient spa traditions; indeed, sparing was not a premise while creating each section and detail of this sumptuous oasis, which is located in the foundations of one of the most reputed hotels in the French capital.

The mosaic-lined pool is for sure the captor of attention. Crystalline blue along its 17 meters, it conveys an idea of quietness; just alongside you can find a vitality pool with a hydro-massage water experience circuit heated at 34 °C. Facing the pool is a 90 m² fitness centre with a selection of the latest cutting edge cardiovascular equipment specially designed by Technogym for Le Spa, with chrome-plated equipment, including treadmills, bikes, ascent trainers, elliptical, and a rowing machine. Also, a hair salon with two stations will offer high-end hair treatments for men and women.

As Jean-Claude Wietzel, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel George V, stated: We are delighted to introduce Le Spa, a contemporary space of style and serenity in the heart of the city. A place where Parisian elegance meets caring Four Seasons service, delivered by our team of passionate therapists who are dedicated to making you look and feel your best.

And he is just quite right.

In the city of haute couture, a menu of treatments tailor-made to provide the best results from the most highly regarded French and international brands is mandatory. Le Spa offers personalized experiences in its four cabins addressing the needs of all skin types, using a hand-picked collection of products and techniques developed in conjunction with globally recognized Spa and beauty experts.

A selection of brand new Signature Experiences has been created to harness the core spirit of Le Spa, providing bespoke sensory journeys that deliver tangible results. Highlights include a Kobido traditional Japanese facelift, an Alaena organic certified bio anti-ageing treatment, and a Dr Burgener two hours treatment designed especially for the Spa.

In Japanese, Kobido means “the ancient way of beauty”, and is the oldest facial tradition in Japan, following a lineage that dates back to 1472. Tradition states that this therapy was reserved exclusively for imperials and nobility for centuries, now Dr. Shogo Mochizuki performs this ancient technique on an elite. Breath of Life by Alaena is an organic treatment signed by Dr. Sylvie Peres. This body and face treatment is inspired by Tui Na, a therapeutic art of Chinese Medicine, using patented active ingredients to boost cells rejuvenation and impart an anti-ageing effect.

The brand Dr. Burgener has truly created an haute couture therapy for Le Spa. The George V Escape by Dr. Pauline Burgener is a quite original, antioxidant treatment which combines a Chardonnay body scrub, a massage with Champagne oil, and a facial harnessing the antioxidant power of gold, Chardonnay and green caviar. In addition to these Signature Treatments, Le Spa exclusively offers a range of Swiss Perfection therapies developed to treat the signs of ageing.

The facilities of Le Spa will be open daily from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm, with treatments from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. The fitness center will be open 24 hours, seven days a week. The swimming pool and fitness centre are reserved for Hotel guests and external guests having booked a private sport session.
