Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping
From 5th to 7th of July, Paris will see an equestrians event near the most emblematic site of the capital, the Eiffel Tower. At the beggining of the 20th century, the Champ de Mars used to host horse races; it was rather a normal event in those days, a custom that, unfortunately, disappeared along the years. Thanks to the Longines Global Champions Tour and the Global Champions League, the sport of the kings will shine again on this panoramic venue.
With such a motto as “Les chevaux dans la ville”, the Longines Eiffel Paris will show the horses champions of the best riders of the world. The scope for Longines is to maintain the label of “popular” and so try to attire people to the equestrians world, a universe usually considered as elitist and unattainable. A free area will be proposed where visitors can either see the competitions or enjoy the many ammenities in the Grand Village.
With prices in the pay section going from 25 till 60 €, the Longines Eiffel Jumping can acommodate up to 2,500 people in two majestic tribunes. But lifestyle will be the key word during the three days of the meeting. Coco Coupérie-Eiffel and Christophe Bonnat, owners of Café de l’Homme, will host the ephemeral restaurant “Pavillon Eiffel”. A must go place for chefs Alain Ducasse (3*) and Frédéric Vardon (1*) will supervise the dishes.
It will be for sure a wonderful gathering for equestrians since many big names have confirmed for the appointment: Jessica Springsteen, Harrie Smolders, Kevin Staut, Pénéloppe Leprévost, Valerie Maupas, and last edition champion Julien Epaillard. Being a Longines event, watches will be present. A piece from The Longines Master Collection will be the official watch of the Paris Jumping: a women’s timepiece with diamonds at each hour, simple and sophisticated, evoking the fine event it represents.
