When Yvan Arpa decided to create his own brand, a new page in the history of Horology was about to be born. ArtyA (Art + Yvan Arpa) are pieces that simply cannot fit into any existing category of watchmaking. Each piece is either numbered or unique, blending audacity with creativity in a disruptive way. Such is the case of Son of Earth Butterfly, a unique timepieces collection presented in Baselworld 2018.

 

 

 

ArtyA has developed its own COSC-certified movement “ArtyA Aion” to be used on these watches. The chronometer-rated automatic movement features a rose gold rotor and finishes that include côtes de Genève, spotting and snailing; 25 jewels, with 28,800 vib/h (4Hz), and 46-hour power reserve. Nonetheless, as in other ArtyA models, the dial is the main attraction. This collection dials are made of real butterflies wings and gold leaves; each dial is one-of-a-kind because each butterfly is one-of-a-kind. The 316L stainless steel case has between 100 and 800 diamonds, what makes of this watch a true timeless jewel.
