Niura by Giberg Haute Horlogerie

BASELWORLD 2018

In Haute horlogerie pieces use to be odes of beauty and precision. One of these astonishing items has just been created for this Baselworld edition. Drawing on his mastery of both jewellery and watchmaking, Swiss setter and goldsmith Andreas Altmann designed Niura, a watch like no other. Not only it houses a flying tourbillon as part of its design, Giberg Haute Horlogerie invented a swinging frame which allows Niura to cling perfectly on every wrist. The visible Tourbillon combined with the shine of highest quality stones results in a dancing duo never seen in such brilliance.

The articulated case edges enclose a 5N red gold casing measuring 35mm across, with a transparent sapphire dial and caseback. The watch is powered by a Giberg Flying Tourbillon ‘Trilevis 6118’ Manufacture Calibre, made in-house and designed to ensure a power reserve of 72 hours. A fine structure, entirely set with diamonds, links the edges of the case to the lizard leather strap, on which a diamond-studded drop balances delicately. Needless to say, Niura is an ultra-limited single-item watch available as an individual customized edition carrying 2,156 diamonds (8,7 cts) and 36 rubies. The swinging frame casing was designed by Vivian Müller.
